Speech Contest Performance 　コンテストで披露する曲

Hello everyone,

How are you doing? Next week is the Obon holidays and Hario will be closed for a week. Do you have any exciting plans? I’m going to see friends and family in Nagano. Hopefully it will be a little cooler there and not so humid.

You might have read the announcement that the speech contest, Hario’s annual showcase, will be on Saturday November 14th at La Hall in Fuji City. As well as a speech contest from the best of our student’s speech homework, our younger students (kindergarten and 1st year PLS students) will put on a short song and dance performance. This happens every year and last year included ‘Let it go’, from the hit Disney movie, Frozen. This year we have chosen two songs. One is called, ‘Knock, Knock, Trick or Treat’ and it’s a Halloween song, which should be good as by tradition the students wear their Halloween costumes on the stage. The other is the Beatles song, ‘Twist and Shout’. Hopefully many of the parents know it. Coming from the UK, I’m glad to have a song from the UK’s biggest music export, The Beatles. We have a few months now to practice them. I’m looking forward to the show.

みなさんこんにちは。

お元気ですか来週はお盆休みになるのでHARIOもお休みとなります。みなさんは何か予定はありますか？私は長野に行き親戚や家族に会うつもりです長野は富士よりも涼しいと期待しています

もうご存知の方もいるかと思いますが、HARIOイングリッシュスクールの年1度のイベント、スピーチコンテストが11月14日の土曜日にラ・ホール富士にて開催されることとなりました。スピーチホームワークがよくできた生徒さんはそこでスピーチを披露してもらいますまた幼児クラスもしくはＰＬＳの10級、9級の生徒さんはステージ上にて歌やダンスを披露して頂きます。毎年の行事であり、去年は大ヒットした”アナと雪の女王”の”Let it go”を含む数曲を披露してもらいました今年は2曲を選びました。1つは”Knock, Knock, Trick or Treat”というハロウィンにちなんだ曲です。毎年ステージにあがる生徒の皆さんにはハロウィンの衣装を着てもらっているので、それにとても合っている曲だと思いますもう一つはビートルズの曲、”Twist and Shout”です。おうちの方もご存じの方がたくさんいるといいのですが。
