Hello everyone,

How are you today? I went to Fuji Festival last weekend and had a good time there, despite the heat. Did you go?

Yesterday, one of my students had her last lesson after coming here for nine years. She’s going to concentrate on high school exams. Yui prepared a photo album showing her through the years. There were lots of lovely photos with former teachers and classmates. Many of the classmates have stayed together in the same class for the whole nine years! Most are still studying at Hario in other classes. There were photos of old Halloween parties, speech contests, PLS and Eiken grade certificates and birthdays. It was a nice trip down memory lane. I’m sorry that she’s leaving after such a long time but I wish her well. I hope she remembers the English she’s learnt and uses it in the future. I also hope she remembers her time at Hario (and when it was called Pioneer Language School). It’s a rare and special thing to have students come here and study together in the same class for nine years, growing up together. But all things must pass. I hope the students that joined this year will stay for a long time and learn English together for many years to come, too.

お元気ですか？先週は富士祭りでしたがいきましたか？暑さを除いてはいい時間を過ごすことができました。

昨日、私が担当している生徒の一人が最後の授業となりました彼女は高校受験の為に専念するそうです。ユイが9年間を振り返ることが出来るアルバムを作ってくれました。クラスメイトや昔の先生達との写真がたくさんありましたほとんどの彼女のクラスメートは9年間、同じクラスで勉強しました。アルバムの写真の中にはハロウィンの時のもの、スピーチコンテストのもの、PLSや英検の賞状をもらった時のもの、そして誕生日のものなどがありました。思い出を振り返ることができるものとなっています。これだけ長くHARIO で勉強してくれた彼女が去ってしまうのは残念ですが、幸運を祈るとともに、彼女が覚えた英語、HARIOで学んだことを将来に生かしてほしいと願います
