Hello everyone,

How are you doing? You may have read posts from earlier this week but it was my birthday on Tuesday. The other Hario staff were very kind and we had a party and the start of the working day. We ate some delicious strawberry sponge cake and I got some lovely presents. Alan gave me an eagle glasses holder, Yui gave me a sports watch and a manga towel, Taka gave me a wet towel, Yuka gave me a different kind of wet towel, and Sachiyo gave me a wrapping cloth, sunflowers and a selfie stick. I’ll make good use of those presents with the hot summer ahead. Thank you very much to all the Hario staff. One of my students made a birthday card for me yesterday. Check out the photo below! I was very moved to get it. I celebrated my birthday last weekend by taking a day trip around Izu with my wife. The highlight was going to a special exhibition of My Neighbour Totoro. If you know the movie, you’ll know about the cat bus. We went inside the cat bus! My wife said it was her childhood dream come true. I feel very fortunate to have had such a lovely birthday. I hope you all do something special on your birthday.

One person who is celebrating her 1st birthday today is Alan’s daughter, Midoriko. Have a great day!

お元気ですか？フェイスブック等でご覧になられた方もいらっしゃると思いますが、火曜日は私の誕生日でした火曜日に出社してからHario のスタッフから祝ってもらいました。おいしいショートケーキを食べ、いろいろなプレゼントを頂きました。アランからは鷲の形をしたメガネホルダーを、ゆいはスポーツ時に使う時計とスラムダンクのタオルを、たかからはウェットタオルを、ゆうかからはまたまたウェットタオルを、そしてさちよからは手ぬぐい、ひまわり、そして自撮り棒を頂きましたこの先に待っている灼熱の夏にぴったりなものばかりなので、是非使いたいと思いますHarioのスタッフのみんな、有難うございました。昨日は私の生徒の一人が、バースデーカードを作ってきてくれました上の写真を見て下さいもらった時、ものすごく感動しましたR君、ありがとうございます

先週末は妻と伊豆へ旅行に出かけ、私の誕生日を祝いました。印象深かったのは、トトロの特別展示会です。映画をご存知であれば、猫バスをご存知ですよねなんと猫バスに乗ることができたんです。妻は子供の時の夢が叶ったと言っていました。こんな素敵な誕生日を過ごせるなんて私はとても幸運だと思います。みなさんもご自身の誕生日には何か特別な事をしてみて下さいね。もう一人本日誕生日の人がいます。アラン先生の娘さん、みどりこちゃんが1歳の誕生日を迎えますよい一日を過ごしてほしいと思います。
