Speeches and the food fair　スピーチとグルメフェア

Hello everyone,

I hope you’re enjoying the nice weather we’ve been having this week. It’s a welcome change after the wet start to the month. Here at Hario the students have written their speeches and left them in to us. The staff here are now translating them to English and then it’s up to the students to work on their performances. They will have a few months to work on their speech, but that time flies by and the time to perform the speeches for the parents will be here before you know it. It’s exciting to see what the students have written about this year. There are some interesting and funny speeches in there, so I’m looking forward to hearing them from the students.

Last weekend I went to the Fuji Food Fair at Fujisan Messe. At the fair, food merchants from around Fuji set up stalls to sell their dishes. There was also entertainment in the form of music, dancing, and I saw a mascot walking around too. I tried a lot of interesting food, such as tongue burger, okanomiyaki, and funnel cake. I had never tried tongue burger before, and I was a bit apprehensive, but it was delicious! Well recommended.

みなさんこんにちは。今週は良い天気が続いていますね

今、Harioでは生徒さんがスピーチホームワークに向けた作文を提出してくれています先生達がその作文を英語に直し、宿題として皆さんに覚えて、スピーチの練習をします。そのスピーチは数か月続きますが、あっという間に時間が過ぎ、秋の授業参観にて皆さんがご両親の前でスピーチを披露する時がすぐにやってきます皆さんが今年はどんな事を作文にしてきたのか見るのがとても楽しいです今年も面白いスピーチや興味深いスピーチがありました。それらを生徒の皆さんがスピーチとして披露してくれるのを楽しみにしています

先週末は富士山メッセで行われた「富士グルメフェア」に行ってきましたそこでは富士でお店を構える人達が集まり屋台をだしてそれぞれの料理を売っていました。また歌やダンスなどのエンターテイメントもあり、マスコットが歩いているのも見ました。私は牛タンバーガー、お好み焼き、ファネルケーキなどいろいろなものを食べました。今まで牛タンバーガーは食べたことがなかったので、恐る恐るでしたが食べてみるととても美味しかったですとってもお勧めですよ
