Hello everyone,

 

I hope you enjoyed the long weekend with Old peoples day being celebrated on Monday. I visited a shrine on Sunday to celebrate our daughters “hyakunichi”, a traditional blessing when a baby is 100 days old. It was great to take part in a traditional Buddhist ceremony that is hundreds of years old. The monk who performed the ceremony waved a big stick with paper to ward off evil spirits, and we prayed for luck in our daughter`s future. My wife made a dress and headband for Midoriko`s big day, which you can see in the photos. She`s a pretty good fashion designer don`t you think?

Here at Hario this week we are filming a music video. We want to feature as many students as we can so we need all of our students to give it their best shot. We`ve had some great dancers so far, so the bar has been set high. The students will feature in the video for just a few seconds so no need to be shy!

We have a holiday next week, so I`ll be back in two weeks.

みなさん、こんにちは。

３連休は楽しめましたか？

私は、日曜日に娘の「百日祝い」をしに、神社へ行ってきました。字のごとく、生後１００日目を祝う

日本の伝統儀式です。何百年も続く、伝統の仏教の儀式に参加できてうれしく思いました。

神主さんが、紙でできた大きな棒のようなもので悪魔を追い払い、娘の輝く未来を祈願してくれました。

この日のために、妻が娘の碧子（ｍｉｄｏｒｉｋｏ）のドレスと髪飾りを作りました（写真をみてくださいね）

とってもオシャレだと思いませんか

そして今、HARIOイングリッシュスクール では、ある学校ビデオを作成しようとしています。

よりたくさんの生徒さんにビデオに出てほしいです。ビデオがきたら、ベストの演技をしてくださいね。

昨日はすごいダンスの上手い生徒さんがいました。彼のダンスのレベルで、ダンスのクオリティが

あがりました。生徒さん一人一人の出番は数秒ですので、はずかしがらないでくださいね。

それでは、来週一週間はHARIOはお休みになります。再来週お会いしましょう。
