Hello everyone,

How are you doing? I’d first like to formally say welcome our two newest staff members. Yui started early in the New Year and now her university studies have finished she is working here full time. Yuka started last week which means we now have 6 teachers here. I’m enjoying working with both of them and I wish them a happy and successful career here at Hario English School.

みなさん、こんにちは。ご機嫌いかがですか。
最初に、HARIOに加わった新しいメンバーを紹介します。
ユイは今年の初めにメンバーとして加わり、この春に大学卒業後に
研修生（社員）となりました。
ユウカは先週加わったスタッフです。
ということで、HARIOは６名のスタッフとなりました。
２人の新メンバーと一緒に働くことを楽しんでいます。２人がHARIOでよいキャリアを積んで
くれればと思います。

Another piece of news is that the first ever Hario English School English Camp will take place next month, on the weekend of May 24th and 25th at Lake Tanuki near Fujinomiya. Students from the 3rd grade elementary school to the 3rd grade junior high school can attend. We will issue flyers and entry forms from next week. Please ask the staff about it. It’ll be great fun, I guarantee. Be aware that places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.

もうひとつのニュースは、来月にHARIOイングリッシュスクールで初めて「キャンプ」をやることです。５月２４、２５日、富士宮の田貫湖でやろうと思っています。
対象は小学３年生～中学３年生です。来週から詳細を書いたお知らせを配布する予定です。
ご質問のある方はお気軽にスタッフまでお尋ねください。絶対に楽しいはずです。

Meanwhile, I’m busy practicing for my Japanese speech contest at the end of the month. The full line up has been announced and there are some really interesting titles, including ‘Convenience Stores’, ‘Omotenashi’ (the phrase made popular from the winning Olympic bid) and ‘The Meeting That Changed My Life’. My speech title is, ‘The Birds of Fuji City’. I’m looking forward to hearing all the other speeches.

最近私は、今月終わりにある日本語スピーチコンテストの練習に忙しくしています。
先日、出場者とその題名が発表となりました。「コンビニエンスストア」「おもてなし」「私の人生を変えた出会い」など面白そうなタイトルのスピーチばかりです。
ちなみに私のスピーチタイトルは、「富士市の鳥」です。
スピーチコンテストで他の出場者のスピーチを聞くのが楽しみです。
