Can you believe it`s December already?! A lot of people say this every year when we reach December. It often feels as if the year flies on by and we are already getting into the festive spirit. It`s time to break out the Christmas decorations and I`ve already seen Christmas trees around town. What are your plans for the winter vacation? There are only a few weeks to go until Santa makes his annual trip around the world. I heard that he might even stop off at Hario if he gets a chance. Our Christmas party takes place on December 14th, and it would be your best chance to meet Santa in person. Not only him, we`ll have plenty of fun and games to celebrate the festive season. We`ll have a creative craft that you can bring home and impress your family with too. It will be the perfect opportunity for the students to understand what the festive season is all about. There`s a special feeling in the air at Christmas. We decorate almost everything we can with lights and ornaments. If you look online, you can see some of the most over-the-top Christmas lights on houses. Neighbors often try to one-up each other and have bigger and brighter light shows. This leads to crazy lights that can be seen a few kilometers away. I would be afraid to look at their electricity bill in January! There is a similar custom here in Japan, but rather than having lights on private houses, they have illuminations that can be visited by the public. I`ve been to a few illuminations here, such as Gotemba and Granpal, and they`re an amazing spectacle. Enjoy the Christmas lights!

もう12月だなんて、信じられますか？

毎年この時期になると「一年があっという間だった」と感じる人が多いですよね。街ではすでにクリスマスツリーを見かけ、すっかりお祭り気分になってきました。

冬休みの予定はもう決まりましたか？サンタクロースが世界中を旅するまで、あと数週間です。もしかしたらハリオにも立ち寄ってくれるかもしれませんよ！

🎄 クリスマスパーティーは12月14日に開催します。 サンタに直接会える絶好のチャンスです。サンタだけでなく、楽しいゲームやクラフトも用意しています。クラフトは持ち帰って家族に見せることもできますよ。皆さんにとって、クリスマスの特別な雰囲気を感じる素晴らしい機会になるでしょう。

クリスマスには街全体が特別な空気に包まれます。イルミネーションや飾りであちこちが華やかになりますね。海外では家ごとに派手なライトアップを競い合うこともあり、数キロ先からでも見えるほどの光景になることもあります。電気代を考えるとちょっと怖いですが…

日本では個人の家よりも、公共の場で楽しめるイルミネーションが主流です。御殿場やグランパルのイルミネーションに行ったことがありますが、本当に素晴らしい光景でした
