Hello everyone,

We celebrated Kevin`s birthday here at Hario yesterday. Happy birthday Kevin, I hope you liked the gifts. He got a new selfie-stick to take photos with. There`s another birthday tomorrow when my daughter, Midoriko, turns one. Her first year has flown by very fast. It doesn`t seem like long ago when she was born and I was holding her for the first time. Babies grow up very fast and she will be walking and talking soon!

Many of our students took the Eiken test here last weekend. They studied hard in the time coming up to the test, so I hope they get the results they deserve. At Hario this week our staff are translating the student`s speeches. I`m looking forward to hearing this year`s speeches from the students.

There are some exciting sporting events this summer. In tennis, Wimbledon is coming soon, the rugby World Cup will be in Autumn, and the Women`s World Cup is already underway. I hope the reigning champions Japan can defend their title and win it again this year. There are other strong teams at the World Cup this year, such as the U.S.A., but I think Japan have a good chance. Good luck!

みなさんこんにちは。

昨日、Harioではケビン先生のお誕生日をお祝いしました。ハッピーバースデー、ケビン誕生日プレゼント、気に入ってくれると嬉しいです。明日はもう1人、誕生日があります。私の娘、緑子が1歳になります彼女の1年はとても早く過ぎました。彼女が生まれ、初めて抱っこしたのがそんなに前の事には感じません赤ちゃんというのはすぐに大きくなります。歩いたり、しゃべったりするのももうすぐでしょう

先週末はHario で英検が行われ、今回も多くの生徒が受験をしました。生徒さん達は、テストに向けて一生懸命、練習をしました。なので皆さん合格するのを祈っていますそして、生徒さん達が書いてきてくれたスピーチも只今、英語に翻訳している最中です。今年のスピーチホームワークを早く生徒さん達の口から聞けるのを楽しみにしています

さて、今年の夏はワクワクするスポーツのイベントがいくつかあります。テニスでは、ウィンブルドンがもうじき始まりまり、秋にはラグビーのワールドカップが開催され、女子ワールドカップが始まっています。現在女子サッカーはチャンピオンとして君臨していますなので今回大会も優勝してタイトルを守って欲しいと思います。今年はアメリカのような強いチームが他にもいますが、日本にも十分勝機はあると思います。頑張れなでしこ
