Help us to decorate for St. Patrick`s Day

Hello everyone,

It`s warming up again now that March has arrived! I`m glad to be in Japan because I heard that Ireland has had almost non-stop rain for the past two months. My parents said that it`s the most rain they have ever seen in their 70+ years. There were some floods in western Ireland last month, but the rain just kept falling. Thankfully it`s drying up a bit now.

Now, most schools have given their final tests for the grade, and the high school exams are over. Many of our students can finally relax after all that test pressure they have been under for the last few months. They are looking forward to having fun over the spring vacation. We are getting close to the graduation ceremonies at many schools now. Students are either preparing for the next grade at school, or going to a completely new school. It`s nerve-wracking to start at a new school, especially if you don`t know anyone there. Don`t worry about it and make the most of the opportunity to make new friends.

In just over a week, it will be Saint Patrick`s Day, and we`ll celebrate it here at Hario for the full week, starting March 16th. Students can help us with the decorations this year, they can get a nice shamrock to color and we`ll hang them all up! Please try to wear something green to Hario that week, it`s a lucky thing to do on St. Patrick`s Day. You can learn all about the celebration here at Hario, or read about it here on the blog. 3月に入り、また少し暖かくなってきましたね

アイルランドではこの2か月ほど、ほとんど雨が降り続いていたと聞いているので、日本にいられて本当に嬉しいです。私の両親は「70年以上生きてきて、こんな雨は初めてだ」と言っていました。先月はアイルランド西部で洪水もありましたが、それでも雨は降り続けていたそうです。ようやく最近になって少し落ち着いてきたようです。

さて、多くの学校では学年末テストが終わり、高校入試も終了しました。ここ数か月、テストのプレッシャーにさらされていた生徒たちも、ようやく一息つけますね。春休みに思いきり楽しむのを心待ちにしていることでしょう。卒業式も近づいてきていて、次の学年の準備をしている生徒もいれば、まったく新しい学校へ進む生徒もいます。新しい学校に入るのは、知り合いがいないと特に緊張するものです。でも心配しすぎず、新しい友達をつくる良いチャンスだと思ってくださいね

そして、もうすぐセント・パトリックス・デーです。ハリオでは3月16日から1週間、セント・パトリックス・デーのお祝いをします。今年は生徒のみなさんにも飾りつけを手伝ってもらいます。クローバーの塗り絵を用意するので、色を塗って飾りましょう！その週は、ぜひ何か緑色のものを身につけてハリオに来てください。セント・パトリックス・デーには緑を身につけると幸運が訪れると言われています。ハリオでお祝いについて学ぶこともできますし、このブログでも読むことができますよ。それでは、また会いましょう！
