I hope everyone is enjoying these final days of March! As we look forward to the new school year starting this week, the arrival of April brings more than just beautiful cherry blossoms, it also marks the beginning of our journey toward the annual Speech Contest.

3月もいよいよ終わりに近づいてきましたが、みなさん元気にお過ごしでしょうか。 今週から新学期が始まるにあたり、4月の訪れは美しい桜だけでなく、毎年恒例のスピーチコンテストへ向けた新たなスタートでもあります。

This week, we will be handing out the composition sheets for you to begin drafting your speeches in Japanese. When you start brainstorming, try to focus on fun and unique topics. The more engaging your subject is, the more enjoyable the process will be!

I always look forward to reading your drafts and learning more about you. It is a wonderful chance to hear your unique points of view on various subjects, ranging from your favorite hobbies and personal experiences to your inspiring dreams for the future. Try to think of a way to make your speech stand out from the rest!
