Hello everyone!

It’s officially winter and it’s getting cold outside. I hope everyone is staying nice and warm both outside and inside. This time of year, for me, is about warm food, hot drinks and spending some quality time at home. Winters in Canada can be very cold but with the snow comes a lot of acitivities to do outdoors too! There’s skiing, making snowmen, tobogganing, building snow forts, ice skating, snowball fights, cross-country skiing, and many more! But after all that fun outside the best thing is coming back to a warm house and relaxing again.

One of my favourite things to do this time of year is playing board and card games. You can still be social and have fun with friends and family that doesn’t involve a screen! Some of the classics we always played were UNO, Risk, and Sorry. Later, my friends and family grew to like more complicated and strategic games which we would spend hours playing. There’s nothing like laughing with friends or family while drinking some hot cocoa and rolling some dice!

みなさん、こんにちは。もう確実に冬がきましたね。暖かくしていますか

今年、私はカナダで温かい食べ物、温かい飲みものを飲みながら有意義な時間を家で過ごそうと考えています。

カナダの冬はとても寒いですが、雪が多いのでたくさんのウィンターアクティビティーをすることができます。たとえば、スキー、雪だるまづくり、トボガンぞり、かまくらづくり、アイススケート、雪合戦、クロスカントリースキーなどなど。そしてこれらの楽しい遊びの後は、温かい部屋に入ってリラックスすることです。

家での遊びと言えば、やっぱりボードゲームやカードゲームです。友達づくりもできるし、家で友人や家族ともテレビ画面なしで遊ぶことができます。昔やったのはUNO、Risk、Sorryでした。のちに、私と友人たち、家族はより難しい、戦略をつかったゲームを好むようになりました。温かいココアを飲みながらさいころを転がし、友人や家族と笑い、時間を共有する。これに勝るものはありません。
