Hello everyone,

Now that we’re back into the swing of the New Year, there is a lot to look forward to in 2019. We have the Hario Spring Campaign coming up, from the 4th of February. I’m looking forward to spring. It’s my favorite season in Japan, mainly because the weather gets warmer. It’s nice to say goodbye to the cold winter months. While I like the kotatsu, it’s difficult to get out of it on a cold day! The other reasons I like spring are the cherry blossoms, Golden Week, tennis, my birthday, the doll festival, and of course, meeting our new students at Hario. Luckily I don’t suffer from hay fever. I know some people who dread spring for this reason. In May we’ll have Hario Camp 2019. It’s always a great success, and I hope many of our students sign up for the fun weekend.

Another thing I’m looking forward to this year is the Rugby World Cup in September. It’s being held in Japan for the first time, and I have a ticket to the Japan vs. Ireland match in Ecopa, Shizuoka. My friends and family will join us there, so we should have a great time. Japan have a difficult group this time, including Ireland (world no. 2) and Scotland (world no. 7). Only two teams can qualify from the group, so they need to play well. New Zealand have been world number 1 for the past 8 years. However, Ireland beat them recently, so I have high hopes for them in the world cup. I wonder how many Irish fans will travel all the way here to support their team. It’s a long journey, you need two flights totalling at least 13 hours. I’m always very tired after the journey. I get jet-lagged whenever I go to Ireland. But as soon as I come back to Japan, it disappears after one day. I find it easy to get back into my usual sleeping pattern when I return.

I hope 2019 is as eventful and enjoyable as last year. Here’s to a great year with Hario.

みなさんこんにちは、アランです。

もう新年のいつもの調子に戻り、２０１９年には楽しみなことがたくさんあります。

HARIOの春のキャンペーンが２月の4日から始まりますわたしは春が楽しみです。日本の私のお気に入りの季節です

なぜなら暖かいからです。寒い冬にはお別れですわたしはこたつが好きですが、寒い日には出るのが辛いです！

春が好きな他の理由は桜が好きなことや、ゴールデンウィーク、テニス、自分の誕生日、ひな祭り、そして勿論新しいHARIOの生徒に会えるからです

ラッキーなことに、わたしは花粉症ではありません。人によってはこのせいで春が恐ろしかったりします。

5月にはHARIOキャンプ2019があります

いつも大成功で、もっとたくさんの生徒たちが楽しい週末に参加してくれることを願っています。

他に今年楽しみにしていることは、９月のラグビーワールドカップです日本で

初めて行われ、わたしは静岡エコパでの日本対アイルランド戦のチケットを持っています。

友達や家族も行く予定なので、きっとすばらしい時間が過ごせることでしょう。

日本は今回アイルランド(世界二位)とスコットランド(世界７位)がいるきびしい組にいます。

たったの２チームしかこの組みから勝ち進めませんですから頑張らなければなりません

ニュージーランドは過去８年間ずっと世界１位です。しかし、アイルランドは最近彼らに勝ったので、ワールドカップで勝つのではと大いに期待しています。どれほどのアイルランドのファンがはるばる日本まで応援しに来るでしょうか。

最低１３時間、乗り継ぎ二回の長旅です。

いつも私は疲れてしまいます。

アイルランドに行く時はいつも時差ボケになります。

でも日本に戻るとすぐに１日で治ります。

戻った時にいつもの睡眠パターンにすれば治りやすい気がします。

 

２０１９年が昨年と同様イベント盛りだくさんで楽しくなりますように。そしてHARIOもすばらしい１年になりますように。
