Hey, 

Last sunday before the typhoon hit, I went for a short day out to Shiraito Falls in Fujinomiya. I have lived in Shizuoka for three years now but this was my first time visiting Shiraito falls. When I arrived, I was very surprised to see that there were not alot of people at the place. However I think maybe the typhoon might have had something to do with that. Anyway, I really enjoyed visiting Shiraito falls. The water was extremely clear, there were flowers blooming and the green from the grass and the plants was so vibrant. It reminded me of when I went to Blue Mountains in Australia. It was also a good location for taking photos because visitors are not allowed to swim in the water and unlike many other countries, people in Japan tend to respect the rules. 

Overall I highly recommend visiting Shiraito Falls. It is a beautiful place and is ideal for a quiet and relaxing day out.

先週、台風がくる前の日曜日に富士宮の白糸の滝へ行きました。静岡に住んでもう３年になりますが、ここにいったのは初めてでした。着いて、人がいなくてとても驚きました。多分、台風がくるからだと思います。人がいないこともあって、ゆっくりとみることができました。水が透き通っていて、周りには花がさき、木々と植物の緑がとてもあざやかでした。その景色は、オーストラリアのブルーマウンテンを思いうかべました。ここは遊泳禁止でもあるので、この綺麗を写真をおさめるのに最高の場所でした。他の国と違って、日本ではルールを重んじていますね。ともかく、私はこの白糸の滝を強くお勧めします。美しく、そして静かでリラックスできる場所です。
