Hello,

We had great fun here at Hario English School last week with our Halloween festivities. There were many fantastic costumes worn by the students, and they all came “Trick or treating”! It`s November already, it feels like time has flown by and I`m living Japan for almost one year now. I came here last December and it feels like such a short time ago when I was leaving Ireland and moving my life here. I will be visiting Ireland in December so I`m looking forward to seeing my family and friends again soon. I had never been away from Ireland for more than three weeks before this year. So you can imagine what a culture shock it was for me to move here. I`m really happy with how my year has gone here and I`m looking forward to many more.

Last week was also emotional as we said goodbye to our staff member Rina. She has been a great team member of Hario English School and made a great contribution to the school. It was sad to see her go, she has been fantastic to work with, and I wish her all the best for the future.

みなさん、こんにちは。

HARIOイングリッシュスクール は、先週はハロウィンウィークでとっても盛り上がりました。

生徒の皆さんが、とっても素晴らしいコスチュームできて、”Trick or Treat”をしました。

そしてもう、１１月となりました。

なんだか時の流れがとても速く感じます。

もう日本に住み始めて１年がたとうとしています。

私は去年の１２月に、妻と一緒にアイルランドから引っ越しをしました。

来月の冬休みにはアイルランドに里帰りする予定です。

家族や友達に１年ぶりに会えるのが楽しみです。

この日本に来るまで、アイルランドを３週間以上も離れたことはありませんでした。

私が日本に来た時にどれだけカルチャーショックを受けたか想像できますか。

ともかく、今年１年、日本で充実した時間をおくれ、また来年も日本でどのような年を過ごすのか楽しみです。

 

先週は、スタッフのリナがHARIOを去り、淋しく思いました。

彼女はHARIOイングリッシュスクール の素晴らしいメンバーであり、貢献してくれました。

彼女が去ってしまったことは悲しいですが、一緒に働けたこの数か月間を嬉しくおもい、

北海道という新しい土地での、彼女の輝かしい未来を願っています。
