Spring is here! 　春が来た！

Hello everyone!

Spring officially arrived last week but to many people today marks the real start of spring, the beginning of baseball season!

If you have visited my classroom you would have noticed that I made a standings board for both Major League Baseball and Nippon Professional Baseball. From March until October I will keep track of all the wins and losses for every team! And for those students who have an interest in baseball I have asked for their predictions for the 2019 season. If any student predicts all the top teams they will win a prize!

Of course, my favourite baseball team is the Toronto Blue Jays and this year they will be a very young team. I don’t expect many wins but I am excited to see the young players get a chance to play at the Major League level. Maybe in 2 or 3 years the Blue Jays will be strong enough to compete with the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. Fingers crossed!

みなさんこんにちは！

春がとうとう先週やってきました！が、多くの皆さんにとっては今日が本当の春のはじまりかもしれませんね。野球の開幕シーズンです！

私の教室に来るとホワイトボードに」メジャーリーグと日本プロ野球の立て板があります。3月から10月にかけて各チームの勝敗をチェックしていくつもりです！野球に興味のある生徒達にはどのチームが2019年の優勝者になるか予想してもらっています。当てた人にはご褒美があります

もちろん私のお気に入りの球団であるトロント・ブルーとブルー・ジェイズは若手球団になります。ですからあまり期待はしていませんが若手選手らがメジャーリーグレベルの試合でプレーするのでワクワクしています。おそらく2,3年後にはブルー・ジェームズはボストン・レッドソックスやニューヨーク・ヤンキースと戦えるくらい強くなるでしょう検討を祈ります！
