Hello everyone,

I hope you had an enjoyable Golden Week and are back into the swing of work. We are now busy making our final preparations for Hario Camp 2019 this weekend. It’s going to be amazing two days, rain or shine. So far, the weather forecast says it’s going to be cloudy or sunny, with a small chance of rain. In previous years of Hario Camp, we have been quite lucky with the weather. It rained at the beginning of camp two years ago. That didn’t stop any of the fun, however, and we played games in the indoor center. We always have a back-up plan in case of rain, so don’t worry! Apart from that bit of rain two years ago, it has been good weather for all of our previous camps. May is a great time to do it. It isn’t too hot or cold, and it’s well before rainy season. I think that’s the best time of year to get out in the big outdoors and see nature at its best. This year we are going to Asagiri Kogen again. It will be our fourth time to camp there. I think it’s a great venue because it has large open outdoor areas, a nice big cooking area, great indoor facilities and is easy to navigate. It’s also full of trees and you really feel like you’re out in the countryside. The students have a lot to look forward to. There will be games, cooking, exploration and a camp fire to finish the evening. We’ll invite students to help us with some campfire songs. A big favourite of the camp every year is roasting marshmallows on the campfire. Delicious! We have many first-timers coming this year, and veterans too. They will learn how to work as a team, especially in cooking, and make new friends too.

みなさん、こんにちは。

みなさんはゴールデンウィーックは楽しめましたか。

ハリオは今週末の「ハリオイングリッシュキャンプ２０１９」の準備に忙しくしています。

天気はどうであれ、すばらしい２日間になることでしょう。いまのところの天気は曇りのち晴れ、又はにわか雨のようです。

去年のキャンプは、天気に恵まれた２日間でした。２年前のキャンプは、最初だけ雨でした。でも体育館でアクティﾋﾞﾃｲを行いました。

我々はどんな天気にも備えて、プランBを用意しています。なので心配はいりませんよ。

５月はキャンプをするのには最適な季節です。暑くも寒くもありませんし、梅雨にも入っていません。

今年も朝霧高原にてキャンプをおこないます。同じこの施設を使うのは、今回で４回目です。この場所は非常に気に入っています。

広い運動場や調理場、体育館などがそろっていて、広い敷地ではありますが迷うことはありません。多くの木々に囲まれ、自然を満喫できます。生徒の皆さんも楽しみにしているようです。２日間では、楽しいアクティビティ、ゲーム、料理作り、探検、キャンプファイヤなどお楽しみが満載です。楽しいだけではなく、キャンプではチームワークを学ぶことができます。友人を作ることができます。

私も週末を楽しみにしています。
