Hello everyone,

It’s the last week of November. Around this time of year everyone says they can’t believe how fast the year has gone by. People often say, “I can’t believe it’s the end of the year already!” It’s true, the Christmas decorations signal the holiday season, and soon it will be 2020. Not just the end of the year, but an entire decade too. Looking back on the 10’s, as we call this decade, there were many big milestone events in my life. Can you remember what you were doing 10 years ago? As we come to the end of the decade, we look forward to the next. In 2020 we will have the Olympics in Tokyo. I don’t have a ticket, but I’m looking forward to the atmosphere here in Japan during the games.

Here at Hario, we are busy preparing for the Christmas party. We are in talks with Santa about organising his visit here. There are 120 million people in Japan, so he will try to fit us in on December 15th. He has to get through all 7 billion people in the world on Christmas Day so we understand how busy he is. We are also producing the speech contest DVD at the moment. It will be ready for sale next month. You can relive the fantastic moments from the big day. I know all of our students have wonderful memories of the day, and would like relive them on TV at home. You can pre-order the DVD now. Enjoy!

みなさん、こんにちは。

今週が１１月最後の週となりました。この時期になると、「あっという間の一年」なんて皆いいますねｓ。クリスマスの準備やデコレーションがはじまり、もう２０２０年がこようとしています。はやいものです。１年がはやいだけではなく、この１０年もあっという間でした。みなさんは１０年前何をしていたかおぼえていますか。２０２０年は、東京でオリンピックがあります。あいにくチケットはとれませんでしたが、オリンピックが来るのが楽しみです。

HARIOでは、来月１５日にあるクリスマスパーティの準備が始まり忙しくなってきました。サンタさんとも話しをして、なんとかHARIOに来てくれるよう話をつけています。日本には１億２千万人の人がいますから大変ですが、サンタさんは１２月１５日に我々のためにスケジュールの調整をしてくれるでしょう。サンタさんに会いたいという人は、HARIOのクリスマス会に絶対にきてくださいね。

そして１１月３日に開かれたHARIOスピーチコンテストを収録したDVDがもうすぐできあがります。来月からの販売を予定しています。DVDからあの時の感動がよみがえります。DVD予約受付中です。
