How was your Obon?

Hello everyone,

I hope you had a fun Obon week and are refreshed after the break. I stayed in Fuji, but had an enjoyable week. My wife’s sister stayed with us during the holiday, so my daughter had a great fun playing with her aunt. We took a trip to Shizuoka City on Monday to see a Lego event. There were many really cool models on display. There were buildings, sharks, monsters, and more! We played with Lego and you could make your own building to add to a mini-city that was being put together. As you can see in the photo, there were massive play areas full of Lego blocks, but you have to take off your shoes to get in. In my experience, Lego is one of the most painful things that you can step on, so I declined. My daughter didn’t seem to mind walking around in it, and she enjoyed playing there.

お盆休みはいかがでしたか。リフレッシュできましたか。

私は遠くへは行かず、ほぼ富士で過ごしました。妻の妹たちが帰ってきて、一緒に過ごしました。娘も、叔母さんと遊べて楽しそうでした。

月曜日に静岡で行われたレゴのイベントに参加しました。とってもカッコイイ展示レゴがたくさんありました。レゴの建物、さめ、モンスターなどなど。レゴで自分のたてものを作って、レゴで作られた町に自分の建物を加えることができます。写真にあるように、すごいたくさんのレゴブロックがあるのですが、靴をぬがないといけません。これがとても痛いのです(笑)でも、私の娘はおかまいなしでレゴの上を歩いて楽しそうに遊んでいました。

On Tuesday we went to Gotemba Kogen Toki no Sumika with my wife’s extended family. There were 21 of us in total! Both of my daughter’s great grandmothers were there, along with my wife’s cousins, aunts and uncles. The Kogen restaurant has an excellent buffet with all you can eat for two hours. They also brew their own beer there. I couldn’t eat the buffet for two hours straight. I was already stuffed after the first hour. The dessert was so delicious I think my daughter ate more than me! She’s a big fan of desserts and wants to try everything. In all we had a great time over the break and we’re back to work with a smile here at Hario!

火曜日は、妻と親戚たちで御殿場の時之栖に行ってきました。

全部で２１人もいました。ひいおばあちゃんから、いとこ、叔父、叔母まで。時之栖にある２時間食べ放題のビッフェが最高でした。ビールもあります。でも２時間も食べきれず、私は一時間もするとお腹がいっぱいになりました。デザートもとても美味しかったです。多分、わたしの娘の方が私より食べていたと思います。娘は、本当にデザートがすきで全部を試そうとしていました。リラックスした休日を終えて、スマイルで仕事復帰しました。
