Getting ready for Golden Week!

Hello everyone!

It’s an exciting time of the year for many of our students as they are moving on to new schools, new classmates, new teachers, new clubs and new friends! Some of them with brand new uniforms which is fun to see.

With April also comes Golden Week. Now usually Golden Week is an exciting time as it’s the first holiday for us since New Year’s but of course, just like last year, Covid-19 means we can’t do everything we would have liked. For myself and my family it’s a good time to explore the local areas we have yet to see. Almost every town in Japan has something special to it; a historical site, a lovely park, a mountain trail to walk or even a shopping mall.

Recently we went to a beautiful shrine near Shizuoka city which was a big surprise to us. We definitely want to visit there again some time! Are there any secret places you really enjoy in our prefecture? Let me know!

みなさん、こんにちは。マットです。

今月は、新しい学校、クラス、先生、クラブ、友達と新しい尽くしでわくわくする時ですね。

生徒の新しい制服姿を見るのが嬉しいです。

今月はまた、ゴールデンウィークがありますね。２０２１年になってから初めての祝日ですが、今年もやはりコロナの影響で行動が制限されてしまいます。私は、近所を探検しようかと思っています。日本の街のほとんどには何か発見があります。歴史を感じる場所、きれいな公園、山道、ショッピングセンターでさえ、歩くのが楽しいです。

最近では、静岡市の近くにある味のある神社を見つけました。もちろん、もう一度そこに行きたいと思っています。

皆さんは近所に秘密のお勧め場所はありますか
