Hello everyone!

 

Spring has arrived and that means it will soon be Easter! Easter celebrations have changed a lot over the years. Hundreds of years ago during the beginning of Spring there were celebrations of winter ending and the planting season beginning. Later this period became associated with a Christian religious celebration. Now most people associate Easter with chocolate, baby animals and eggs!

 

Something many children in the West do during this period is egg decorating. You would take an egg either boiled or with it’s yolk removed and dye it. If you covered the eggs with wax before dyeing each colour you can create many different designs! Something as simple as an egg can be beautiful!

 

This year we will be decorating paper eggs at HARIO. I hope you come up with some great designs!

春がやってきましたね。そしてイースターの季節もやってきます。

イースターの祝い方はここ何年かで変化してきています。

数百年前は、冬の終わりを祝い、植物の季節が始まるのを祝うものでした。

そこから、クリスチャンのお祝いごととなり、今はイースターはチョコレート、赤ちゃん、動物、卵を関連付けたお祝いごとになってきました。

西洋では、子供たちが卵に絵をかき飾り付けます。

今年はハリオでもこのイースターを祝って、卵（紙にかかれた）を飾り付けします。皆さんの卵デザインを楽しみにしています。
