Hey, 

So it is that time of year when shops start putting up Christmas decorations, people start singing Christmas songs and Christmas adverts start playing on the tv. In the UK, Christmas is a huge deal. Some people buy presents extremely early so that they dont have to rush around last minute and every year there is a battle for the best Christmas advert on tv. As well as all that, people in the UK also compete for the best decorated house. 

Also, in the cities and towns there are Christmas markets which attract thousands of people to the stalls. Although most people go for the food and drinks. However there is still plenty of stuff for families and children to do, children can go and meet Santa in one of the pop up grottos and often there are small petting zoos where children and adults can stroke reindeers and other Christmas animals. 

All in all, Christmas is a wonderful time for people to spend time with their friends and families.

最近ではお店でもクリスマスのディスプレイが始まったり、テレビでもクリスマスの宣伝やら歌を見かけるようになりました。

イギリスでは、クリスマスは一大イベントです。イギリス人は、クリスマスプレゼントをすごく前から準備するので、クリスマス間際に物を買うことがありません。テレビでは、クリスマスのCM合戦がはじまります。またイギリスでは家のクリスマスイルミネーションを競う風習もあります。

町はクリスマスマーケットが開かれます。クリスマスのものから食べ物、飲み物までたくさんの屋台が並びます。中には、トナカイやクリスマスに関わる動物に触れる小さな動物園みたいな屋台もあったりします。クリスマスは家族や友達との時間をすごせるすばらしい時間です。みなさんはクリスマスをどう過ごしますか。
