Hello everyone!

 

I hope you are staying safe and warm this winter season. Though it really has been a warm winter so far!

 

With winter here that means Christmas will soon arrive. Every Christmas people around the world spend quality time with their families and take the time to show their appreciation for those close to them. This year has been a difficult one for sure. Many people are unable to go home for the holidays because of Covid-19. It’s not a good situation at all but as always, “it’s better to be safe than sorry!”

 

Last year we were able to go back to Canada for the winter holidays for a nice family trip. We got to see and do a lot of things, though the warm winter made it a Christmas without snow even in Canada! This year we will be in Japan and will spend the time appreciating being safe in Fuji and hoping other are safe as well. It’s a bit too dangerous to be travelling so like many people we will have a Staycation (a vacation staying at home)

みなさん、こんにちは。マットです。

もう冬です。ということはクリスマスが近づいてきています。

クリスマスは、世界中の人が家族や近い人たちと有意義な時間を共にする時ですが、今年は違いますね。

コロナの影響で家に帰ることができません。悲しいことではありますが、安全第一です。

去年のクリスマス、私はカナダに帰りました。思う存分時間を楽しみましたが、暖冬でクリスマスなのに雪がありませんでした。

今年は日本でクリスマスを過ごしますが、皆の安全を願いながら富士にいたいと思います。旅行に行くのには危険すぎます。皆さんと同じように私もステイバケーションします。

皆さんは冬休みの予定は決めましたか。コロナが流行して変わったことはありましたか。
