Hey, so on my way to work recently I have noticed that a lot of Cherry Blossoms have started to bloom. This morning, I decided to walk through the park near my house and view the Cherry Blossoms. I was surprised at how busy the park was, people have been warned not to go to areas with large groups. But this morning I saw people having parties, playing games, taking photos and gathering in large groups. I know that the situation is not yet bad in Fuji, but I think that people should be following the recommend advice until the pandemic has ended.

Anyway back to the Cherry Blossoms. In the UK we also have areas where you can go and view Cherry Blossoms, but they are not as beautiful as the places in Japan. Since I have lived here, I have visited many different cities and towns just to see the Cherry Blossoms. I think that my favorite spot for viewing is Kawazu in Izu. Every year Kawazu has a festival dedicated to their Cherry Blossoms. It is a popular event as Kawazu provides one of the earliest opportunities in the year to see large numbers of Cherry Blossoms near Tokyo. The festival takes place along the banks of the Kawazu river, which is lined by seemingly never ending rows of Cherry Blossom trees stretching about four kilometers.

通勤途中の道で、たくさんの桜が咲いているのを目にします。今朝は、その通勤途中にある公園を通ってきました。公園にはたくさんの人がいて驚きました。ニュースなどでは大きなグループでの行動を控えるように呼びかけられていますが、桜の下で大人数でパーティをしていました。富士はまだ深刻な状況ではないですが、感染がおさまるまでは政府の呼びかけに従うべきだと思います。
