Hello everyone!

I hope you are all doing well and staying safe, both for Covid-19 and for the very hot weather. Keep washing your hands and drinking lots of water!

Yesterday was my birthday and I am now 34 years old. Time flies by! This is now my 3rd birthday in Japan and I’ve loved my 3 years in Japan. I have a family here that is really kind and supportive and they always try to make me feel special for my birthday. This year we will have a barbecue and I can’t wait!

 

Usually for my birthday I go to the cinema. I love the cinema and try to go at least once every couple of months. With Corona it’s difficult to go, however. Not only for safety reasons but because there hasn’t been any new releases since February! The movie I was most looking forward to seeing was Dune. A sci-fi epic story based off a very famous book series. Maybe next year!

みなさん、こんにちは。マットです。

みなさん、感染予防のためにお家で過ごしていますか。手洗いをしっかりして、また熱中症予防にたくさんの水分をとりましょう。

昨日は、私の３４才の誕生日でした。もう３４才かぁ日本では３回目の誕生日を迎えました。この３年、すばらしい年でした。日本でできた家族はとっても優しく協力的で、いつも誕生日を楽しませてくれます。今年は、皆でバーベキューで祝ってくれるようで、楽しみにしています。

これまで誕生日は映画館に行っていました。私は映画が大好きで、月に一度は行っています。しかし今年はコロナの影響で行けません。安全面からの理由だけではなく、２月から新しい映画が上映されていないからです。私が楽しみにしていた映画は、Duneです。多分、来年ぐらいですね、公開は。
