BBQ in Kawaguchiko

Hey, so last weekend I went to Kawaguchiko for a BBQ. Although at the moment many people around the world are worrying about the coronavirus, people in Japan seem to be going about their day as normal. There were many tourists in Kawaguchiko and none of them seemed to be worried about the virus, in fact I didn’t see one tourist wearing a mask. Anyway back to the BBQ. As the weather on the day appeared to be nice and sunny, we decided to have a little BBQ. I rarely have a BBQ in Japan, but when I lived in the UK or when I visit my parents in Australia, we tend to have a BBQ at least once a month.

At the BBQ we cooked many different types of meat and vegetables. Sadly, I wasn’t allowed to cook as my cooking is not great. So I was left to look after the children, which made me extremely tired by the end of the day. Due to having a lot of at the BBQ and forgetting about the time, I ended up missing my bus back to Fuji and had to sleep at their house. Overall it was a nice relaxing time and I look forward to having more BBQ’s in Japan.

先週、河口湖でバーベキューをしました。世界中の多くがコロナウィルスの脅威を心配するなか、日本は普段と変わらない気がします。

河口湖には旅行客が多くて、だれもコロナを心配している感じではありませんでした。マスクをしている人は一人しかいませんでした。

それはともかく、河口湖に行った日はとても天気がよかったので、バーベキューをすることに決めました。日本でバーベキューをする機会はあまりないのですが、イギリスに住んでいる時やオーストラリアに住んでいる両親を訪ねるときなどは、月一でバーベキューをしていました。

バーベキューでは沢山の肉や魚があったのですが、私は料理が下手なので料理させてもらえませんでした
